Proposals are invited for two prestigious awards recognizing innovative research in the field of plant nutrition and microbial biotechnologies. These awards were announced by CEO of Microbial Biotechnologies (MBT) at the concluding ceremony of the 20th biannual congress of the SSSP in year 2024. In addition, Dr. Shabbir A. Shahid (Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, Kuwait) will contribute PKR 100,000 toward each award.The award winners will be announced at the 21^st International Congress of Soil Science (ICSS-2026).

The awards for competition are:

1. Late Dr. Muhammad Arshad (T.I) Award

Focus: Ideas for developing high efficiency fertilizers for future agriculture.

2. Dr. Fauzia Yousaf Award

Focus: Enhancement of nutrient use efficiency through microbial intervention

Eligibility and Submission Guidelines:

1.Competition is open to all members scientists from academia and research institutes.

2.Routing:All proposals must be submitted through the head of the applicant’s institute or organization

3.Deadline:All proposals must reach the evaluation committee’s Convenor by 28^th Feb. 2026.
